WOW, all gifts are great. I only just sent out my own gift to my Santee because I ran into a few problems finishing some of the items....
So now I finally can show you all what my Santa gave me! My santa was Ritaxis and they spoiled me! Oh and I am allowed to share, so the links are included
This is what I got:
-------------------------
First of all, I went with the idea that I was giving you the main room of the small apartment occupied by a midcentury botany professor. She has only one room for kitchen, dining, study, and living room, and she favors either teak or blond wood finish. I gave her three fabrics for upholstery and two choices for dinnerware sets: other decorations come in four or five choices. I do not have nearly enough preview pictures even after spending all night taking them, so bear with me.
Here's the general overview:
You
should be able to click the picture and go to the picasa folder where the rest of the pictures are.
The furniture sets I recolored are:
Buggybooz Sage Office and Dining -- the blond is less saturated and shiny than Buggybooz's original, which I have found kind of disturbing in the past when I tried to use it. I also emptied out the file holder so you can fill it with Aikea-Guinea's paper clutter, or books, or whatever you please.
Karaskaras Sparrow Living, and Ibis, Cube, and Alcedo cabinetry (no pictures of the cabinets, sorry)
I also recolored the jonesi bedblanket in matching textures, in two sizes each, also in two colors for the leaf and starburst patterns, and two orientations for the diamond pattern, in order to give you the most flexibility for matching with the various repositoried items mostly at
Sims2Artists.. You can also get the fixed bed blanket mesh there too in the off chance you don't already ahve it.
The Karaskaras meshes are available here, if you don't have them.
Alcedo cabinetsCubeSparrowIbisI also recolored Laura9Taylor's two-tile lighted painting. In a perfect world, I would have recolored all her lighted paintings, but five botanical recolors of this one painting was all I could manage. She took down all her paintings from MTS, where they were originally, and they don't seem to be anywhere else, so I have included the mesh. The art on the pictures is from web galleries, and the artist's name is in the filename instead of my usual descriptive name, so you can visit their work.
I have recently discovered that many plants can be made to change species through recolors! So I set out to do that, but I only succeeded on two meshes. So I give you Leehee's simpleset plant, in five new species (the species name is in the filename):
(I only used plants whose growth habit at least at some stage of their life cycle is similar to Leehee's original)
The other plant I had some success with was Mango's Summer set arbre1a, which has been recast as an edible fig in springtime:
I did two other clutter items from Leehee's Simple Set, the "deco file holder" (clipboard) which I filled with notes for the botany professor, and the "open book," for which I cleaned up the clip figuring nobody who loves books would put a rusty clip on it! There are five, but they are not all botany books. There's a book of cyanographs (sunprints) of algee, an herbarium, a pruning manual, a book of insects, and a book of paintings of eightennth-nineteenth century artillery. Yeah, I know, one of these things in not like the other. That's my lip service to the word "eclectic."
Of the Sage clutter, I only did two placemats, one each to go with the starburst and the leaf theme. Other than that I did four colors of the ice bucket, single candlestick, teapot, and coffee pot, and also the lamp. I did not do the triple candlestick.
Now, as to the KCR dishes. I did them in designs derived from the Franciscan Starburst and Autumn series, and I did a few each of things like bowls and cups and plates. They are not exact replicas. I harvested the leaf motifs from the Autumn series, and redrew the starburst motifs from the Starburst setries, and recombiend them for the dishes and the fabrics.
